growing up
What do Hannah Montana, Ninja Turtles, and Scooby Doo have in common, well me. These are just few of the many things I love, which others look at as being childish. I have always had a passion for these characters growing up and I don't see why I can't still love them at the age of 20. My friends make fun of me for idolizing them and talking so much about them, but I don't care because they make me happy. From the Hannah Montana poster on my wall, my Scooby Doo pajamas and shirt, to my Ninja Turtles: slippers, throw, key chain, and laptop bag. I will never give up my passion for them. I don’t see why people make fun of me when it comes to these characters; they always tell me to grow up. But why should I grow up, there are still people who love Mickey Mouse, SpongeBob, and Hello Kitty and even go as far as getting tattoos of them; and their older than me. What’s the harm in loving things that you once did when you were a kid? I’m sure there is something that you grew up with as a child loving and still love till this day and wouldn’t change your love for them just because people talk about you. For instance, my best friend loves Mickey Mouse and has so many Mickey Mouse things; she even named her car after his girlfriend Minnie Mouse and she’s 24. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks about her loving him, I guess because they know she can kick their butts. So, see I’m not the only one who idolizes things from my childhood, I’m sure everyone does.

I agree. Though I am 18, i still love, love, love Scooby-Doo. If you ask me there is not an age limit on cartoons so why should we stop liking them? Besides that, I think cartoons give us a sense of meaning, kind of help us know who we are. And i'm the type of person that will watch something scary at night and turn to cartoons to calm me down so that I don't have nightmares...Corny? Maybe.. but i really don't care.
